Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any application published by Edgeless Media LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our apps.

These terms apply to all apps published by Edgeless Media LLC, including but not limited to: Better Sleep, Cognitive Stories, Memoryish, Anti-Bias Trainer, Sizzle, Vocabulary, Lighthouses, Musicians Process, Random Reminders, Bucket List, Unsolicited Advice, Big Bad Words, Scrabble Trainer, Grief Companion, and Self-Compassion.

Use of Our Apps

Our apps are provided for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to:

  • Use our apps only for their intended purpose
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our apps
  • Not interfere with the operation of our apps or servers
  • Not use our apps to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Not attempt to access other users' data or accounts
  • Not use automated tools to access our apps or APIs without permission

Accounts

Many features are available without an account (guest mode). Some features, including cloud sync, backup, and AI-powered tools, require creating an account. If you create an account:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account
  • You can delete your account at any time from the app settings

Service Tiers

Our apps offer up to three tiers of service:

  • Free: Core app functionality at no cost. Some apps display ads in the free tier; others do not. Designed to be genuinely useful — not a limited demo.
  • Plus (subscription): Full features, no ads, cloud sync, and backup.
  • Pro (subscription): Advanced features including AI-powered tools and premium analytics. Available in select apps.

Not all apps offer all tiers. Available tiers and their features are described within each app.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing:

  • Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's subscription settings
  • Refunds are handled according to the respective store's refund policy
  • We do not directly process payments or store payment card information

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you create within our apps — journal entries, sleep logs, memories, recipes, vocabulary lists, and all other user-generated data. We claim no ownership over your content.

By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited, revocable license to store, transmit, and back up your content solely for the purpose of providing the sync and backup service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

You can export all your content at any time in a standard format. If you delete your account, all your content is permanently removed from our servers.

Intellectual Property

Our apps, including their design, code, graphics, icons, and written content, are owned by Edgeless Media LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our apps or their content, except as permitted by applicable law.

Health and Wellness Disclaimer

Some of our apps provide tools related to sleep, cognitive health, mental wellness, nutrition, or physical activity. These apps are not medical devices and do not provide medical advice.

  • Content is for informational and self-improvement purposes only
  • Our apps are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare provider with questions about a medical condition
  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something in our apps
  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately

AI-Generated Content

Some apps include AI-powered features that generate content such as coaching responses, recommendations, or summaries. AI-generated content:

  • May not always be accurate or complete
  • Should not be relied upon as professional advice
  • Is generated based on your input and general training data, not on other users' data
  • Is provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy

Availability and Changes

We strive to keep our apps available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Update apps to fix bugs, improve features, or address security issues
  • Add, modify, or remove features
  • Temporarily suspend service for maintenance
  • Discontinue an app with reasonable notice

If we discontinue an app, we will provide a way to export your data before the service ends.

Disclaimers

Our apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our apps will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Edgeless Media LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use our apps
  • Any content generated by AI features
  • Unauthorized access to your data
  • Any interruption or cessation of service

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of our apps shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edgeless Media LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of our apps.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our apps if you violate these terms. You may stop using our apps and delete your account at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the apps ends
  • We will delete your data upon request (or automatically upon account deletion)
  • Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Edgeless Media LLC regarding your use of our apps.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when our practices change. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the date above. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
