Meet Priya

Background: Priya is a competitive player in her late 30s who loves word games and plays several times a week — both solo practice and online games with friends in different cities. She's social, competitive, and loves sharing game results.

Devices: Android (OnePlus 12)

Tier: Plus, upgrading to Pro

How Priya Uses Big Bad Words

Priya plays 2–3 online games per week plus daily solo sessions against Medium AI for practice. She has 31 completed games with a 65% overall win rate (55% online — she's working on that gap).

She's built 4 custom word lists for themed game nights: Food Words, Animal Names, Travel Vocab, and Music Terms. When her group hosts a themed game night, she loads the matching list as the game dictionary and it makes every game feel fresh.

She has 3 saved presets: Quick Game (11×11, 5 tiles, 1-min timer), Full Game (15×15, 7 tiles, no timer), and Themed Night (15×15, themed word list, Medium AI).

Upgrade Journey

Priya started on Plus for online multiplayer. After 4 months, she started losing online games and wanted to understand why — she noticed her opponents were consistently playing longer, higher-value words. She tapped Analyze Game on the game-over screen and hit the Pro paywall. The preview showed blurred analysis with a tease: "You missed 65 points in this game." She upgraded to Pro immediately.

Now she uses post-game analysis on almost every online game, studying the alternatives the engine suggests. Her online win rate has been climbing since.

What Priya Values

  • Online multiplayer with friends across cities (Plus)
  • Custom word lists for themed evenings
  • Post-game analysis to study and improve (Pro)
  • Sharing final scores and board screenshots after games
