How to Upgrade to a Subscription
Ronaldo, a pragmatic construction manager, upgraded after 34 days of free use when he tapped "Advanced Analytics" and saw the upgrade prompt. He wanted a fact-type breakdown to show his neurologist — proof that his brain was healing in a measurable way. This guide walks through upgrading your account.
Subscription Options
| Option | What It Includes |
|---|---|
| Ad-free (Tier B) | One-time purchase to remove all ads permanently. Requires creating an account. |
| Basic Subscription (Tier C) | Monthly or annual. Removes ads + unlocks cross-device sync, Advanced Analytics, adaptive difficulty, and push notification reminders. |
| Premium Subscription (Tier D) | Monthly or annual. All Tier C features plus future premium capabilities. |
How to Subscribe
From a Gated Feature (Recommended Path)
- Tap any locked feature — for example, tap Advanced Analytics on the Progress tab.
- An upgrade prompt appears explaining the benefits of subscribing.
- If you are anonymous (no account yet), the app prompts you to create an account first. Choose Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email. All your existing session history is preserved during this upgrade.
- After account creation, the subscription purchase screen appears.
- Select your plan (monthly or annual) and complete the purchase via the App Store or Google Play.
- The subscription activates immediately — the previously locked feature becomes accessible.
From Settings
- Go to Profile > Subscribe (or Profile > Settings > Manage Subscription).
- Review the subscription benefits listed.
- Tap Subscribe and select your plan.
- Complete the purchase.
Removing Ads Only (Ad-free, Tier B)
- Go to Profile > Settings and tap Remove Ads.
- If you are anonymous, create an account first (the same account creation flow as above).
- Complete the one-time IAP purchase.
- Ads disappear immediately from all screens.
Expected Outcome
After subscribing, your tier updates immediately. Locked features become accessible. If you subscribed to Tier C:
- Cross-device sync activates — data starts syncing to the server
- Advanced Analytics unlocks on the Progress tab
- Adaptive difficulty activates (monitors your 7-session rolling average)
- Push notifications become configurable in Settings
Restoring a Previous Purchase
If you reinstall the app or switch devices, go to Profile > Settings > Restore Purchases. The app checks your App Store or Google Play account for prior purchases and restores your tier.
