How to Upgrade to Plus for Cloud Sync

Darnell is a night-shift nurse who had 62 recipes stored on his old iPhone. He got a new phone and realized his recipes were only on the old device — because he was on the Free tier with no cloud sync. Upgrading to Plus synced all 62 recipes to his new phone in seconds.

How to Subscribe​

  1. Open the Profile tab
  2. Tap Upgrade to Plus (or you'll see a subscription prompt when you try to use a Plus feature)
  3. Review the benefits and pricing options
  4. Select monthly, annual, or lifetime
  5. Complete the purchase through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
  6. Your tier updates immediately — ads disappear and sync activates

What Happens After Subscribing​

  • Your existing local recipes begin syncing to the cloud immediately
  • All future recipe imports, edits, and deletions sync automatically
  • If you install Sizzle on a new device and sign in with the same account, your recipes appear after sync completes (usually under 10 seconds)

Syncing to a New Device​

  1. Install Sizzle on the new device
  2. Open the app — an anonymous session starts
  3. Go to Profile and tap Sign In
  4. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account as your Plus subscription
  5. The sync engine pulls your recipes from the cloud
  6. Your full collection, shopping lists, and settings appear

Expected Outcome​

Your recipes are available on every device you sign into with your Plus account. Losing or replacing a phone no longer means losing your recipe collection.

Tips​

  • Plus sync also covers shopping lists, gamification progress, and settings
  • Changes made offline (when you have no connection) queue automatically and sync when you reconnect
  • To check your sync status, go to Profile and look for the Last synced timestamp
  • If sync appears stuck, go to Profile > Sync and tap Sync Now
