How to Upgrade to Basic Subscription for Advice Analytics

Garrett is a financial planner who tracks his 8 Finance advice posts the way he tracks client portfolios. He needs per-post view counts, vote breakdowns, and save trends to understand which advice actually resonates. The analytics dashboard is behind the Basic Subscription paywall.

What the Basic Subscription Adds

  • Advice analytics — per-post view counts, upvote/downvote breakdowns, save counts, and trend charts
  • Bookmark collections — organize saved advice into named folders
  • Advanced filter presets — save and reapply filter combinations with one tap
  • Cross-device sync — bookmarks, votes, and posted advice sync across your devices
  • No ads — banner ads removed on Home, Topics, and Saved tabs

How to Subscribe

  1. Open the Profile tab
  2. Tap Upgrade or look for the Subscribe button
  3. Alternatively: tap any locked feature (e.g., "Advice Analytics") — a contextual upgrade prompt appears
  4. Review the subscription benefits and pricing (monthly and annual options)
  5. Complete the purchase through App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
  6. Your tier updates immediately — ads disappear and the analytics dashboard unlocks

Viewing Your Advice Analytics

After subscribing:

  1. Open the Profile tab
  2. Tap Advice Analytics
  3. The dashboard shows per-post stats for all your posted advice:
    • View count (how many users saw the post)
    • Vote count with upvote/downvote breakdown
    • Save count (how many users bookmarked it)
    • Story count
  4. Aggregate stats show your total views and your top-performing post
  5. Change the trend period (last 7 days, last 30 days, all time) to see performance over time

Garrett checks his analytics dashboard weekly. His top-performing Finance post — "Never accept a job offer without negotiating — the first number is never the best number" — consistently shows the most saves.

Expected Outcome

You see clear, per-post performance data for all your posted advice. The dashboard tells you which of your advice is being saved and referenced by the community — not just voted on.

Tips

  • The analytics dashboard is especially useful if you post advice across multiple topics — you can see which topic your advice performs best in
  • Sort by "most saves" to identify advice that people are returning to (saves indicate lasting reference value, not just a moment of engagement)
  • Nadia uses the analytics daily to identify which topics get the most saves, then uses that data to plan her podcast episodes
