How to Curate Your Reminder Collection

Bridget, a yoga instructor who treats her reminder collection like a personal scripture, removes 8 of the 20 seed reminders that don't resonate with her. Then she moves a Gratitude reminder to Mindfulness where it belongs. She does all of this from the reminder detail view.

When This Applies

Use this to remove pre-loaded seed reminders you don't connect with, edit reminder details, change categories, or delete reminders you've outgrown.

Removing Seed Content

  1. Go to My Reminders and scroll through your list. Seed reminders have a subtle "Curated" or "Seed" label to distinguish them from your personal reminders.

  2. Tap a seed reminder to open its detail view — shows full text, source, category, schedule, and creation date.

  3. Tap Delete — a confirmation dialog appears. Confirm to remove it permanently.

  4. Repeat for any seed reminders that don't fit your collection.

Editing a Reminder

  1. Tap any reminder in your My Reminders list to open the detail view.

  2. Tap Edit — opens the edit form with all fields pre-filled.

  3. Change what you need:

    • Update the text content
    • Add or change the source/attribution
    • Move it to a different category (the reminder moves to that category group in My Reminders)
    • Change the schedule type (e.g., from Random to Spaced Repetition)
  4. Tap Save — changes take effect immediately.

Deleting a Reminder

  1. Open the reminder detail view.
  2. Tap Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion dialog. The reminder is removed along with any journal entries linked to it.

Expected Outcome

  • Your reminder count updates correctly after each deletion
  • Edited reminders appear in their new category group immediately
  • The seed content you removed no longer appears in your My Reminders list or in notifications

Tips

  • Bridget's approach: she only keeps reminders she feels a genuine connection to. A smaller, curated collection that all resonate with you is more valuable than a large collection where many items feel hollow.
  • You can always re-save a deleted curated reminder from the Discover tab if you change your mind.
  • Community reminders you've saved can be re-found and re-saved from the Community tab if deleted.
