How to Create a Journey
Who this is for: Anyone who wants to organize a group of memories into a cohesive story or life chapter.
Astrid wants to group her teaching memories from 1985–2020 into a Journey called "Teaching Years" so she can view and export them as a coherent narrative.
Steps
- Tap the "Journeys" tile on the dashboard.
- Tap the "+" button to create a new journey.
- Enter a title (e.g., "Teaching Years (1985–2020)").
- Add a description (optional) — a sentence or two about what this journey covers.
- Tap "Save" to create the journey.
- Add memories:
- On the journey detail screen, tap "Add Memories."
- Browse or search your archive. Tap each memory you want to include.
- Tap "Done" to confirm your selection.
- Reorder memories (optional) by dragging them into the order you want within the journey.
- Tap "Save."
Expected Outcome
The journey appears in the Journeys list with a count of included memories. On the detail screen, memories are listed in your chosen order. On the Timeline, you can filter to show only this journey's memories. At export time, you can export this journey as a standalone PDF.
Tips
- A memory can belong to more than one journey.
- You can add or remove memories from a journey at any time by editing it.
- Journey filter on the Timeline is a great way to review a specific life chapter.
