How to Filter the Timeline by Journey
Who this is for: Anyone who wants to focus the Timeline on a specific life chapter or story arc.
Astrid wants to review only her "Teaching Years (1985–2020)" journey on the Timeline, hiding her retirement memories temporarily.
Steps
- Open the Timeline from the dashboard tile or bottom navigation.
- Tap the filter icon (funnel icon, typically in the top-right corner of the Timeline screen).
- Select a Journey from the list of your journeys.
- Tap "Apply." The Timeline now shows only the memories in that journey. Other memories are hidden or dimmed depending on your app version.
- Remove the filter by tapping the filter icon again and selecting "Clear Filter," or tapping the active journey chip.
Expected Outcome
The Timeline displays only the memories belonging to the selected journey, making it easy to review that chapter in chronological context. Removing the filter restores the full timeline.
Tips
- Journey filter and zoom level are independent — you can zoom into a specific decade while a journey filter is active.
- If your journey spans decades, zooming out gives you the best overview of where its memories fall.
