How to Complete Onboarding

Who this is for: New users who just signed in for the first time.

Priya wants to use Memoryish in Hindi and set a theme before she starts adding memories from her grandmother's journals.

Steps​

  1. Select your language. After signing in, the language selection screen appears. Choose from English, Spanish (Español), Hindi (हिन्दी), Portuguese (Português), or Japanese (日本語). The entire UI switches to your chosen language immediately — you'll see the change happen as you select.
  2. Choose your theme. Select Light or Dark. A preview shows the app in both themes so you can compare. Your selection applies immediately.
  3. Pick your interests. Select 1–3 interest areas from the list (examples: Family History, Travel, Career, Personal Growth, Food & Culture). These influence which prompts Memoryish suggests in Prompt Me.
  4. Tap "Get Started." You arrive at the dashboard.

Expected Outcome​

The app is fully configured in your chosen language. The Prompt Me tile on the dashboard suggests prompts relevant to your selected interests. You can change any of these settings later in Settings.

Tips​

  • You can change your language, theme, and font scale at any time from Settings → Profile.
  • Interest selections only affect which prompts are suggested — they don't restrict any features.
  • If you skip onboarding, default settings (English, Light theme) apply. You can configure preferences in Settings.
