How a Return Visit Goes Straight to Home

Who this is for: Anyone who has visited the app before and is coming back — whether or not you ever made an account.

Maya logs everything and has used the app for months. When an attack hits at 3 a.m., the last thing she can afford is an onboarding carousel she has already seen. The app agrees: onboarding repetition is friction exactly when you can least afford it.

Steps

  1. Open the app. Home renders immediately — no onboarding screens, no safety notice repeat, no interstitials of any kind.

  2. Tap a relief card. The Breathing, Grounding, and Anchoring cards are one tap away, exactly where they were last time.

Expected Outcome

Home renders directly and no state is written. Your acknowledgment of the safety notice persists in your browser, so the notice is never shown again.

Notes

  • This works signed out or signed in. Returning without an account skips onboarding the same as returning with one.
  • If the safety notice does appear again, your browser storage was cleared since your last visit. That's by design — see the safety notice guide.
  • Relief flows stay cached. After your first visit, the flows load from your browser's cache, so return visits are fast even on a weak connection.
