How to Sign Back In After Months Away
Who this is for: Anyone coming back after a break — weeks, months, a whole quarter — who wants the thread picked up, not a re-onboarding.
Elena was away for about two months. She came back to a rough week and opened her bookmarked Insights page first. What she didn't get: a guilt trip about the gap, a re-onboarding tour, or an empty account.
Steps
-
Open the page you bookmarked. Your saved link — Insights, your plan, your log — works exactly as you left it, even if your session expired months ago.
-
Read the calm sign-in prompt. It explains that your data is safe server-side and asks you to sign in. No warnings, no loss language.
-
Sign in. Use the email and password on your account (or the password reset link if it's been that long).
-
Land directly on your page. You arrive exactly where you were heading — your insights, your plan, your log — with history, plan, and subscription all intact.
Expected Outcome
You're signed in and on the page you intended, with everything as you left it. From here on, your session persists across visits until you sign out.
Notes
- Return-to-destination is the rule. Signing in never dumps you on Home — you land on the page that triggered the prompt.
- Nothing decays while you're away. Your episodes, plan, reflections, and subscription status are all server-side and unchanged by the gap.
- No re-onboarding. The safety notice, the two-screen introduction — all of that is long behind you.
- Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen; a reset link goes to your account's email.
