How to Schedule a Weekday Morning Breathing Reminder
Who this is for: Plus members who want gentle structure between spikes — a nudge to practice before the day sweeps them along.
Jonas's trigger for upgrading was exactly this: he kept forgetting to practice until he needed it. Reminders are calm and optional by rule — no streaks, no guilt, no nagging. A reminder you ignore is a reminder working as designed.
Steps
-
Open Settings → Reminders. Reminders are a Plus feature; if you're on Free, you'll see a calm explanation and the upgrade sheet — see reading the upgrade sheet.
-
Create a reminder. Choose the technique (box breathing, for example), the days (weekday mornings), and a time you choose.
-
Answer the notification permission prompt. The browser asks for notification permission with a plain-language explanation of what it enables. Grant it if you want push reminders.
-
See it listed as active. Your reminder appears in the list with pause and delete controls at hand.
Expected Outcome
The reminder is created and listed as active, with its next occurrence scheduled. If you granted notification permission, it arrives as a push notification; if not, it reminds you in-app.
Notes
- Declining notification permission is fine. The reminder is still created, and the app explains gently that it will remind you in-app instead. No error, no re-prompt nagging, no dark pattern.
- No streaks, ever. The app will never show you a broken streak or count your misses. Reminders are structure, not scorekeeping.
- Pause and delete are always at hand. Every reminder can be paused or deleted from its list entry — nothing is sticky.
- A reminder you ignore is fine. The copy is calm and optional by design; the app treats practice as an invitation, not an obligation.
