How to Install the App to Your Phone's Home Screen
Who this is for: Anyone who visits regularly and wants the app one tap away — no app store, no download waiting on a bad night.
Jonas wants gentle structure between spikes: an installed app with instant load is part of that structure. Panic Attack Toolkit is a progressive web app (PWA), which means installing it is a browser action, not a store purchase.
Steps
-
Visit the app on your phone's browser first. The install prompt appears after you've visited — the app's assets need one visit to cache.
-
Accept the install prompt. Your browser presents it following your platform's conventions (or use the browser menu's "Add to Home Screen" / "Install app" option).
-
Open it from your home screen. The app opens in standalone mode — its own window, branded icon, themed chrome, no browser bars.
-
Notice the instant load. Your next visit loads from cache. Relief flow routes work from cache with no network at all.
Expected Outcome
The app is installed on your device: standalone mode, icon set present, and relief flows functional from cache even offline.
Notes
- Install is optional. The app works fully in the browser; installing only adds speed and a home-screen icon.
- Server-dependent screens still need network. Your plan, log, and insights read server-side data — offline they show clear error states with retry, never blank screens. Relief flows are the offline-capable part.
- Uninstalling is a normal home-screen action. Remove it like any other icon; your account data lives server-side and is unaffected.
